"WHY DON'T YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN. MY BUSINESS HAS BEEN DOING FINE WITHOUT YOUR KIND," stated by the owner of Bagel Mania on I.U. Willets Rd. December 2, 2008.

Alert to all consumers in this area: I went in this morning and noticed when I went up to be served, the owner stepped aside and let the other Asian man assist me (I am Korean). I thought this was odd, but brushed it off. When I ordered a bagel with butter on the side, I saw the owner tell the clerk to charge me more for asking for butter on the side. So instead of $1.40 which is the cost of a bagel with butter, he charged me $1.90 ($1.75 + tax).

I asked for butter on the side, because whenever I bought a bagel with butter at Bagel Mania, there is so little butter, that it is almost as if I ordered a plain bagel.

As I walked out I told the owner that it was poor business practice...that I have never been charged extra for asking for butter on the side. He responded with, "WHY DON'T YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN. MY BUSINESS HAS BEEN DOING FINE WITHOUT YOUR KIND."

It is truly sad that there are still such uneducated people out there.
