Long established market. Stalls tend to change over the week and on occasions it moves to the old site outside M&S. Great mix of stalls from fruit and veg to mobile phones. Best place in York for fish - the foodies get there early to get the pick of the catch.
Various 'farmers' markets are added in the course of the year. Christmas sees a special market - which is not all that - but does seem to offer vast amounts of German sausage.
