I had a really nice stay here. The location was good. It didn't take too long to walk to the main centre of York. The prices were good value. The decor was pleasant. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was lovely. There was a choice of traditional english or continental. There was fresh fruit available. The breakfast room was in a conservatory with plenty of light. Tea and coffee was provided in the room we stayed in. There was plenty of wardrobe space. The owner was friendly and polite. This place had a relaxing feel to it. There was only one downfall though. The floorboards in the room above us were very creaky and someone moving round upstairs woke us ap about 6 -6.30 am. I have a sneaky suspicion this was the owner herself. There was also the sound of someone using a hairdryer coming from above us too. I would come back here but I would have to bring some earplugs in order not to get woken up early in the morning.
