Hi guys,

I thought i'd introduce myself since we're new in town. My name's simon and myself and my best mate started Xing straight out of uni as a way of improving the standard of catering on campus, whilst curing a few hangovers in the process.

We have a great following at our Hull uni bar and also do a lot of work promoting healthy eating in schools for the NHS and LEA's as we found that smoothies are a great way of getting kids to eat fruit, even the most hardened of fruit dodger! it's been really hard work but we think its a worthy cause considering the state of our public health.

I hope you will pop in and say hello to myself and the rest of the gang and join us on our quest to ween kids off these horrible milk, ice cream and chocolate bar shakes that seem to be popping up everywhere.

For those shorter, darker winter days, Juicy Moosey also does hot juices, AND a special 'Bruno'-made, from scratch, hot soup. Always fresh, dairy free and full of goodness, finding something warm to make you glow has never been so healthy!

I love this place, wish they could open even earlier so I could grab a juice on my mornings runs, but that just makes it more exclusive !

Looking forward to warming my winter soul with some of Bruno's fresh concoctions soon! Who needs summer! Ok so maybe we do, but a hot juice in the hand is worthy of another two to warm the stomach! :-)

its a shame but my favourite JM is a victim of its own popularity - get here early to avoid disappointment they seem frequently to run out of wheat grass, spirulina and the essential fruits to juice

this is a great juice bar, its actually funky too, i love the name and it makes juice and health seem a bit more fun. i've felt like i was being dragged here by the girlfriend the first time but the juices where actually great and it made it easy for a bloke like me to drink lots of healthly things with no effort. when you work out how much fruit has gone into each drink they aren't actually too expensive and there is a great choice from bizzare green juices to the more conventional orange ones. its a great addition to york and i like the fact that its a one off and not part of a chain. pop in and give it a go.

you should try the wheatgrass too. fresh, makes you feel fabulous, and tastes a little 'funky', but hey no pain,no gain! :-)

Small, perfectly formed and located on York's busiest tourist spot in the Shambles its well worth dropping into Juicy Moosey to admire the menu, sup a juice and get back out into the flows of bottle-necked tourists.

This juiciest place is under new ownership. Thankfully whilst the new owners Bruno and co. have changed the name from simply The Juice Place, they have kept the best of the already super healthy and vibrant menu! Yum!

Bruno is from Brazil and his influence has a packed a healthy punch into some newer juice blends: Hungover? try anything with Acai berries (thats the 'new' super berry on the block) guranteed to 1. taste great and 2. perk both you and your body up!

For the harder core juice heads and health conscious amongst you, you might like to the try the greener and leaner vegetable juices that include 'Green Peace': celery, apple and ginger, Or the juice supertastic (and not for the faint hearted) Dynamo: beetroot, spinich, celery and apple. Really brave? There's enough fresh wheatgrass and spirilina to kick start anyone's health metabolism !

The only thing that lacks are some super healthy and freshly made bars/muffins. I always feel that they've missed a trick here, but then you can't juice a muffin can you...
