I find it to be the best and only real pub in the area. Good company, good food at sensible prices. Not a flash or modern pub nor is it intended to be for the upwardly modile snobs like the two previous reviewers who can exercise their right never to return. However, I will be going whenever I am in town. Keep up the good work Steve as I and many other real pub goers enjoy it very much indeed.

Don't bother the place smells, the beer didn't even taste that good and people kept looking at you as if you had just come form another planet. When the old people will disappear I hope they will put a new establishment there like a new club perhaps. Prices are fairly cheap and I hope they don’t do food! There are plenty of other pubs in the area, I recommend if you’re out for a nice meal or traditional pub experience to venture in the costwolds in areas such as Burford or Banbury. Never ever again for my health’s sake! The police also likes to set their car near there to survey IZI too!

This traditional Cotswold stone pub is situated in the town centre and, as such, it has no shortage of customers. Perhaps for this reason, the staff make little attempt to be welcoming.
