This African/Indian father and son team from Kenya, via London, has set up shop in one end of the presentable Whitley Bay Metro Station, with access from the exterior.

Spacious, high ceilinged rooms with walls painted blood red, white ceilings and dark blue linen over white caused my dining partner to think 'exotic' and me to think 'Union Jack'.

A wide range of dishes feature meat (chicken and lamb) or vegetables and are offered with a basic selection of wines and Cobra Beer, from India (no Kenyan beer).

The food was good but ordinary and the prices moderate. I will probably not return, but do recommend one visit as the experience is, for Whitley Bay, a tad upscale and enjoyable. No regrets.
