Reviews for Barracuda

I think that since the old rectory changes to the barracuda there has been a great difference, the place is fresher and more modern with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The barracuda is cheap to enter at night especially if you purchase a barracuda card which makes it one pound to get in at any time of the evening, rather than the price rising as the hour gets later.
The barracuda is always busy and can be hard to get served at the bar, but the staff try their best to serve people fairly as they arrive, and they work really hard.

The Baracuda is one of many in a chain of pubs run by the Baracuda Group. They have been situated here for about 1/2 years now and took over from the Old Rectory. This place was quite popular when it was known as the Old Rectory but since Baracuda has taken over the place has had a serious revamp and the decor is much nicer now, plus the place is ram packed with people at night (mainly younger people from the ages of 18-25).

The music is quite cheesy at night but the DJ does his best to play stuff you can dance to and meets the requests people have for songs. They don’t ever have any of the top DJs booked in here though.

There is an entrance fee to enter but it only costs about £2 which is a fair price in my opinion and you get a card so you can get in free later in the night.

I once entered here on my birthday and my friend decided to let the DJ know it was my birthday and he shouted it out and they gave me a free bottle of wine, how nice is that?

Food during the day is just your standard pub food but nice to eat a cheap and cheerful meal. Plenty of places to sit, inside and out.

The barracuda is a great bar to go to before the clubs and gets really busy in the evenings. It is a trendy place with great up to date music, from a DJ booth.
There is a variety of different cheap drinks to choose from. I do also like the way the bar is set out with different seating areas inside the bar.
During the day this bar is a great place to eat while in town with a relaxed feel to the place, and a good menu to choose from. I would definitely recommend people to go to the barracuda on a night out.

Barracuda is a great bar/nightclub to visit whether in the daytime for a meal or at night time for a good drink and a dance. Barracuda recently took over this building which used to be The Old Rectory. The building had a massive makeover and plenty of cash was put into restructuring the building and a lick of pain here and there.

Overall since Barracuda Group has taken over they have really turned this place around into a nice modern location to sit down and enjoy a meal and have a few drinks.
The music is modern and there’s always a full house of people enjoying themselves at night.
Shame about the entrance fee but compared to London its nothing, something like £2/£3 entry.
Other facilities include Sky Sports for the football, a beer garden and smoking area, late licence and disabled facilities.
This regeneration is in its early days so everything looks new and modern, a job to be eating and drinking within this place as it feels very clean. Drinks and food are also reasonably priced.
