Reviews for Angelo
Angelo's is not somewhere I would have thought to go from first impressions, but is definitely somewhere I will keep going back to. The food is delicious; traditional Italian and generous portion sizes! I can recommend the risotto or the sausage pasta, and I have heard the calzone is exceptional (and very impressive looking).
Every time I have been to Angelo's there is a lovely atmosphere - the staff are very friendly (to the point where we have a chat when I walk past the restaurant during the day) and there is normally a nice mix of couples having a romantic evening and families taking the kids out. To top it all off, the food is exceptionally good value - 2 courses each with 2 bottles of wine worked out to be £13 each between 4.
It can get busy in Angelo's - the first time I went there there was a teenage party going on so service was slow and the whole place was really noisy, which made the evening less than enjoyable. I'm glad I gave it a second chance though as it has become one of my favourite restaurants in Twickenham.
