  The classic chippy.
  
  Visited hear recently and think I’ve found a gem. Just recently taken over and being refurbished to a high standard it was spotless.
  
  As soon as we went in we were welcomed by staff and given a table. The staff were very friendly,helpful and especially nice to my daughter.
  
  Standard fair for a chippy, but what is not standard is the quality. The three of us ordered the fish tea which was cooked to order and when it arrive it was a very generous portion.
  
  The chips were cooked to perfection and the fish (two huge pieces) had a lovely light batter and was very fresh.
  
  As I’m typing this I’ve started to feel very hungry.
  
  Can’t recommend enough

  Blast from the past

  A chippy restaurant that hasn't changed in 50 years. Old pictures on the wall, creaky wooden chairs, Italian souvenirs on shelves.
  
  Great fish as you'd expect, excellent batter and great chips (in the British tradition). Plus boiled sweets in big jars, and ice cream at the counter. What more could you want?
