Canal country pub
Superbly situated next to the canal in the Hertfordshire village of Marsworth, The White Lion is a pub, deli and restaurant.
We've been here several times during the day and always liked it. The large pub garden could do with glamming up a bit, but the inside is smart and much more enjoyable now the no smoking law has come in (isn't everywhere...).
I'm sure you'd have to book for evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. Disappointingly, they don't do a killer Bloody Mary, which, given their positioning as a trendy destination place www.whitelionmarsworth.co.uk they should.
Menu is long and varied and good value for money. The White Lion restaurant serves food from 12noon to 3pm and 6pm to 9pm every day, except Sunday when food is served 12noon to 3pm.
