    What a sad tale this is. If you go back 10 years or more this pub was huge success, it's a shadow of it's former self now.

    Lovely building though, thatched roof and dates back to the eleven hundreds I think. Has quite a large beer garden but it doesn't get much sun (when those of that work want it!).

    I think this pub has suffered from to many changes in ownership in recent years, both private individuals and pub chains.

    The food isn't what it used to be and the interior of the pub is looking very tired these days.

    Great for a day time drink in the sun, but not worth a visit for anything else in my view.

    Food very disappointing, bar staff quite preoccupied. Think this was once quite a nice place, but it needs a fresh approach. Could be a little gold mine, and there's nothing to beat a good local with fresh food, good portions and friendly customer service, but as yet, they've not reached this in my opinion.

    A picturesque Olde Worlde pub/restaurant. But our meal was quite disappointing & not especially cheap either. I would go back for a drink & maybe try the food again if I was there anyway, but wouldnt make the effort to go just for a meal.
