Friendly and cosy
This is one of those pubs where the locals all go to discuss the events of the week. Really nicely decorated and it is a long thin pub with a little stage at the far end. The landlord has been there for years, as have many of the locals. They do encourage students in during the summer by holding karaoke nights and it does get really packed out, but it's the locals and the landlord and landlady that really make this place. The food is good though not what you go to the pub for and it isn't always available, so see food as a bonus! Drink prices very reasonable.
