This restuarant is lively and a fun place to eat. The staff are very friendly and service is very good. If there are no tables available then you are given a buzzer thing that flashes when a table becomes available, meantime you wait in the bar. There is a good range of food from italian pizza and pastas to burgers and salads. All of which are very nice. There is a good childrens menu which is great value for money. The food is all cooked fresh and is delicious. parking is ok unless everyone is at the shops and taking up the parking places.
good meals and entertainment in the form of a chorus of congratulations whenever anyone has a birthday!

Terrible time at Frankie and Benny's 20th March 2008

I've been here three times. The first two times were ok, as you'd expect from this type of place. Sadly the third visit was a disaster and I will never be going there again or could I recommend it to anyone.

I had a serious problem with my meal - something in it that shouldn't have been, shall we say. The Waitress squeeled and took the meal away immediately, came back after a very long wait and mumbled 'you will not be charged for that meal' (Hardly, I hadn't eaten any of it!) then disappeared. We were then completely ignored. I was left with no food at all and my wife was left wondering whether to eat alone. When it became clear their method of dealing with a difficult situation was just to ignore it until it went away, I managed to get the attention of the waitress and asked for the bill. She was able to bring the bill, return with the chip & pin machine, take payment and give us the receipt all without saying one single word. We got up and walked out past stony faced staff who remained completely silent, strangely no one opening the door and saying ‘thank you, good evening’ like they usually do.

So, no apology at all at any point, no attempt to repair the situation, no attempt to compensate us in any way for a meal ruined, and any pretence of politeness was dropped completely. The bill was full price for everything except the meal that was taken away. I ordered a full rack of ribs because I was hungry; I left the restaurant just as hungry.

I wrote to complain to head office, twice, but they just ignored my letters.

Truly dreadful service and proof for me that the American style 'have a nice day' politeness is very shallow indeed.

This branch of F&B's is pretty much the same as all the rest - you are guaranteed a sizeable, well-cooked piping hot meal whatever your taste. The only thing I hate about this place - and other bases in the chain is the noise level - not the place for a first date or quiet meal with the nearest and dearest - but - great for parties, fun, atmosphere, beer selection and delicious food.
