Read the review, so i was quite sceptical!!! Its now been taken over by Fullers of Chiswick and the service and food were outstanding. Great choice of ales, fresh food and the staff did everything to make the our visit welcoming. I hope this carries on as its a great find

Three stars for the view and the wonderful garden/kids' play area (overlooking Teddington Lock), but that's it. This place could have so much going for it, but it's understaffed - you'll wait forever for a drink - and poorly managed. The food's awful - it takes real effort to produce chips so limp and overcooked - and the staff move at snail-speed. Such a missed opportunity, but there's a reason locals rarely go, except for the bonfire night firework display. With a little effort it could be really great. The Tide End nearby is prettier though doesn't have the view.
