Reviews for Sizzles Cafe
Sizzles café is your typical greasy spoon with the added advantage that it is open into the early hours. There are various types of breakfasts and rolls on offer with your typical breakfast ingredients, bacon, eggs, sausages etc. The café itself isn’t the most attractive place to each and could do with refurbishment to be honest. The food is reasonable as the prices as long as you aren’t expecting 5* cuisine. The food is greasy and probably wont do your health any favours but that’s exactly why you would want to come here J Wouldn’t take anyone on a date here but its just the ticket after a night on the town and all the kebab shops are shut. Add another 2 stars if intoxicated.
I've titled this a tale of two cafe's - cos it seems a different place at 3am to what it is during the day - When you're aboslutely drunk off yer face it's the best thing to end a night...a 'big boy' breakfast, seemingly well cooked, fills you up, gives ye a chance to chill after a heavy night - 4 stars!! Then, there's the sizzles cafe by day - on the very few occasions i have gone in whilst waiting for a train or whatever, i haven't been impressed - cutlery with dried on egg aint the best thing!! Actually now i mention it, i remember eating a breakfast with just a knife cos i was too polite to say the fork was stinkin! (i was drunk too) might reduce the stars here ha. this was a long time ago, and i would hope they've cleaned up since. Just realised i've spent too much time writing about a 24 hr cafe that is mostly full of drunks and down n outs so i'm gonna end now - sorry about that! please, if anyone disagrees, post a review!
