Monkey Cafe is a cosmopolitan venue providing a diverse and eclectic selection of night time entertainment, from DJ dance nights to jazz, acccoustic and rock. Twice nominated for the Welsh Music Accademy Awards in the 'Best Small Nightclub" category.

The Monkey bar has long been around. Over the years they've seen two major extensions to the original venue and it is now considered one of the most popular Swansea clubs.

In the day they offer organic food and a relaxed atmosphere. In the night the place turns into a nightclub, playing all kinds of music from acoustic folk, to breakbeat, techno, hip-hop, metal and IDM. Each night is run by different promoters and so has its own following which is also added to by the Monkey bar regulars.

Certainly the best atmosphere of any bar or club in Swansea city, it cannot be recommended highly enough by this reviewer.

Probably the best nightclub in Wales. Also doubles as a reasonable organic produce type cafe in the day time. Salsa and Comedy nights are sometimes held here too. Three floors in the evenings, two playing live music or DJ sets, can be anything from chilled acoustic to Funk, Reggae Dnb or Hip Hop. Large sheltered outdoor balconies with seating are a blessing for smokers and create an amazing social vibe that I have never seen matched by any other club in the UK.
