The Stratford Wetherspoons (The Golden Bee) is your standard Wetherspoons formula, cheap/reasonable drinks, reasonable food and a relatively modern yet traditional interior.

That being said, I am not criticising it for this as this is somewhere I have spent many hours. It is a very popular place and I regularly meet friends there either before mving on elsewhere, or just for a quiet drink.

When you walk in the front door, you see that it is a very long place with the bar in the centre. Closer to the door is a sofa/ relaxation area, in the middle near the bar is standing room only and usually filled with poeple milling around chatting or waiting for drinks.

The rear third of the pub is more seathing areas, for eating etc.

There is a small beer garden at the rear, however it is very cramped with limited space and is not an are for non smokers to sit if they dislike smoke.

Wetherspoons is a fantastic place to start a night out and also somewhere you can head for a quiet drink and still be able to talk.
