Talbot Court Galleries
Heading to the Cotswolds for a romantic break? If so make sure you visit this picture shop in Stow-on-the-Wold. Guaranteed you'll find a perfect gift for someone. It's a treasure trove of old maps, wood cuts and antique prints.
Not explaining this very well? Second attempt...
The owner, John Trevers, knows everything about everything and can find you anything. He seeks out beautiful ancient texts from all over the world, lovingly tears them up (I'm sure there is a more technical word for this) and frames them. He has, for example, pages from fashion magazines in the 1870s, coats of arms, pictures from Victorian fairytale books and of course, hundreds of ancient maps. If you have a dad who is a dog enthusiast, a mum who is a costume lover, or a friend who's in love with Italy, you will find the perfect present for them in this shop.
Still not explaining it very well?
It's a bit like an Ollivanders for grown ups. You'll get goosebumps. Visit.
