Charming Old Pub
This pub was one of the first opened in England and it has kept all its original features. The atmosphere is lovely, with is low ceiling and tiny space.
The food is really brilliant. Meat and vegetables come from local farms and the chef really takes pub food to a high level. I recommend the lamb shoulder in red wine sauce, delicious!
They even offer a loyalty card so you can enjoy a free drink or free meal if you keep visiting.
It can be really busy, so do not leave it too late in the evening or you might have to wait for a bit or even go back home with only a drink on your stomach!
It’s really indeed a lovely country pub worth a visit.
