I really like Wagamama. Food is great!

The St. Albans Wagamama has good food but I've found the service there only average, compared to the London Wagamamas.

Wagamama is a great place to eat. It is always very busy so sometimes you have to queue for a while. The service is quick and friendly and because food is cooked to order it arrives at different times. The portions are very big and there is something for everyone. I would recommend the chicken ramen and the duck gyoza are probably the nicest thing I have ever tasted. If you join up to their newsletter they regularly send you 2for1 offers which makes it great value. The main meals cost between £7 and £13 pounds each and you can drink as much free green tea as you like. The only thing I don't like is that you have to share a table with other people but it all adds to the atmosphere of the place.

Wagamama's is fab. Food is always excellent, and service is fast and friendly. Avoid Friday and Saturday evening if you don't want to queue (you can't book) although once you do get seated service is not affected.
Also I recommend joining the members club at www.wagamama.com to get details of promotions and discounts.
Kiddie friendly restaurant too, with great childrens menu and clip on seats for the little ones.

I've visited St Albans Wagamama with my family on several occasions, and once in the evening with friends. If you're not familiar with this chain, the seating is on long benches, and often you will be sitting right next to another group of people (not what everyone wants). The food is largely noodles, rice dishes or salads graded in terms of spiciness. There is also a good menu for children, which is reasonably priced. Highchairs are available, but I don’t think there are many. I think there is a great atmosphere, and my little boy loves watching the food being prepared and cooked.

A well run franchise. If it's your cup of tea it's very good. A bland, middle-class concept but well executed. No soul or character.
