Nice pub but a bit pricey 6th April 2009

Went here on a Saturday night - it was pretty busy, but we managed to get enough tables together to seat about 20 people after waiting for a bit!

The drinks were a bit steep (about £10 for 2 vodkas and a half of shandy), but it was an nice relaxed kind of place - good music, a pool table and a beer garden as well as a selection of games on offer. The music got pretty loud at about 10pm - a bit too loud for a pub in my opinion, but I left shortly after then, so I didnt mind!

Other than that, they have a film night once a week which sounds interesting!

This is a nice pub in terms of the offer and the setting, its somewhat spoilt by its appartent 'clickiness' In my opinion, the pub is very much geared to the needs of locals rather than new visitors. Not sure if its the Landlord or Manager, but he has a very odd approach to customer service, particularly towards middle aged women, he appeared to go out of his way to make them feel unwelcome!
