This place is lovely, fantastic food, very stylish and has just been turned back into a hotel where it has gained four stars by the AA.
Yes the food is pricey but totally would recommend this place over and over again. It does however get busy in evenings and would always book before going.
Have had several meals in the now over 4 years and have not had a bad bite. Great for lunch too or just a drink before a match. This is the only place to be seen in and ideally located in Oxford Street. Close to the action in Southampton.

I enjoyed a Christmas meal with my work colleagues last year and it is a recommended place to go. Yes, it may be expensive but the setting is fabulous and the food is delightful.
I also found the staff to be really friendly and helpful, which is always a bonus when eating out!
Located in Oxford Street, the White Star is definitely recommended.

This is one for special occasions, as the menu isn't the cheapest; I'd guess about £35 - £45 a person for three courses and wine. It's well worth it, because the food is absolutely wonderful! The portions aren't huge, but are utterly delicious, and the service is fab. The actual restaurant is very spacious. They do good cocktails, too!
