Situated on a small backstreet behind West Street, Cubana offers excellent Tapas as well as live music, salsa dancing a wealth of spirits, wines, beers and juices. There is a real authentic feel about the interior and is perfect for large parties. Booking is essential no matter the size of your party, however, as the venue does lack a little bit of space.

This does not take anything away from the atmosphere and ambience and, if anything, adds the overall cosiness of the restaurant. The service is also very good, with friendly helpful staff at the ready.

Make sure you pick up the Cubana leaflet on your table when you visit and read about the visit of the legendary Buena Vista Social Club from Cuba, who dropped by after their sell-out gig at the City Hall.

This is a little gem of a place thats set back away from West Street. Even though it is set back it doesn't lack in atmosphere and character. Has great feel to it and is a warm and friendly place.

There is a lot going on in this place, on Saturdays can have a go at salsa dancing which is a great way of meeting new people and having a good laugh. The lessons are not too expensive and have different levels.

They also do tapas which is lovely but unless ording loads is not the most filling but is great to share with friends.

Also the food is average priced towards expensive depending on how much is ordered and could get a more filling meal elsewhere for the same price.

Cubana has a great lively atmosphere!

The customers, staff and the invigorating salsa music make it impossible for this to be a place for a quiet meal. The menu consists mainly of tapas with vegetarians well catered for, you will never leave this place hungry! The band adds so much to the atmosphere and there are salsa lessons for those who wish to develop their skills.

Cubana can get extremely busy especially at weekends, or if there is an event at the City Hall, so booking would be advisable, however for those just wishing to have a drink there is sufficient room at the bar to accommodate this.

Been twice, both times been "forced" to have the set taps menu (due to attending in a large party).
Both times the food has been very tasty, but I have left the restaurant feeling hungry. The service is good and the atmosphere is great, but I want a meal, not a snack! :)
