I regularly eat here with my family during the early evening before we go to the theatre or during the day. It's fair to say that we have never had a bad meal here, the pizzas are great, really fresh, good ingedients and made to order before your eyes.
At this time of day the service has always been quick and friendly and even obtaining the bill isn't a problem as it can be in other establishments.
They are great with children and have a kids menu and high chairs available.
They have also have large bottles of chilli oil available to drizzle over your food which may constitute a calorific nightmare for some but add a delicious fiery blast to any dish!
I found this place to be mediocre. It was too bright inside and the food wasn't very nice as it was churned out by the staff. What spoilt it for me was the group of girls on a hen night. It was roudy and loud. Even the staff who served me commented on the behaviour. I won't be coming back here again.
A typical pizza and pasta restaurant located centrally opposite the City Hall. Always busy at weekends, particularly if there is an event at the City Hall.
Fairly standard Italian fare, nothing too outlandish or exceptional, just well cooked and served food which makes a change for a city centre eaterie.
Can seem cramped as there is little room between tables, which can cause issues when trying to vacate.
The front of the restaurant is fully glazed which can result in some interesting dining experiences, not for the faint hearted, moonie anyone!
All in all a decent restaurant for those looking for quick food in a nice setting in the city centre.
Nice little restaurant, this one. We visited on a warm Sunday evening a few weeks ago. It was very quiet in there - just a few tables, so there were actually more staff than diners.
I've eaten in a few of the Ask restaurants up and down the country, and this is the best one I've been in. Its light inside, reasonably spacious (although like anywhere, this depends on the level of trade) and clean and tidy.
Having standard menus across the chain means there are no surprises, and the food is fresh and tasty. Aside from the garlic bread starters, the portions are plentiful, and the prices reasonable and comparable with any pizza chain.
Service in this particular restaurant was superlative, but customers were at a premium. Staff were friendly and relaxed.
Apparently busy on Friday/Saturday evenings and whenever theres a show on at the nearby City Hall, if you time your visit right and pick a quiet time, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Normally an Ask would get a 2 or 3 star rating. This one deserves its four stars.
I loved this restaurant!
Its food was brilliant and had a really authentic Italian flavour. The staff were really friendly and made you feel like you were a really valued customer. They have a really good menu that is suitable for everyone of all ages and the food is served really quickly. Overall, I really enjoyed visiting Ask and I am definetly going to visit again.
