Reviews for Waterstone's
I always find this store very calming. It has a lovely atmosphere which descends on you as you enter, or is it just me?
I love the way the shop is set out and the childrens sections are nicely presented so you can usually find what age group you're looking for easily.
They often have 3 for 2 offers on and lots of offers around Christmas for those prezzies!
I also like the coffee shop upstairs too which is run by Costa Coffee a nice touch.
The staff are really friendly and helpful if you have any queries they seem to be really knowledgable. Great store.
In a day and age where its much cheaper and much more convienient to just stay at home and order books from sites such as Amazon, the high street stores have to do something special to get us to spend our money with them.
Like most other Waterstones stores, its always tidy, books are stored in categories and so are easy enough to find. Theres a sizable range of novels and textbooks and, should the title you're looking for not be to hand, you have the choice of speaking to the staff and getting them to order it for you, or checking online yourself at one of the computer terminals to see if its avaliable and what price you'll pay.
The staff are knowledgeable, and its clear Waterstones like to employ people who actually read books and have a degree of passion for them, which is refreshing. On the shelves are recommended books by staff, which come with a brief description of why they like them, which I always think is a nice touch..
Like any medium competing against the internet these days, Waterstones cant compete for price with some websites - even their 3 for 2 offers work out much more pricey than buying all three online, but the internet is no substitute for spending time in an actual bookstore and scanning the spines and back covers of actual books.
I like Waterstones too. I think that it is a good choice if you are wanting a specific book and it is a lot better than WH Smith in terms of choice. This shop has a calm atmosphere and you dont feel any pressure to buy anything.
Such a tranquil bookstore a haven of calm and peace, any book you require you need look no further, if they havent got it in stock they can order it in for you very quickly.
In the childrens section there is a large selection of books for all ages well set out so easy to find something suitable and little ones are positively encouraged to look around and "do a choose"really refreshing to see.
loads of adult books in various selections to suit every taste. The staff are knowledgable and can lay their hands on whatever book you desire. Can be pricey, I like the childrens section but some of the books can be bought a lot cheaper just by shopping around.
