  Chill out by the water

  Great to see the whole Waterside development in Sale, with it's canal, smart pubs & bars and modern new Council buildings.
  
  For us, the best restaurant is Oca, which I would loosely desrcibe as Mediterranean, with lots of Italian influences.
  
  The pizzas here are absolutely top notch, with full on flavours, and some unusual choices of toppings. They used to even do an English Breakfast topping, but to this day, I think I'm the only person who ordered it, and i notice it wasn;t on the menu last time we were there.
  
  Tip: great place for grown up kids parties: not that they do nayhting special, but they are kid friendly, and the kids feel really grown up in a truly adult restaurant like this.

  Great goats cheese and fig salad

  Really nice Mediterranean menu. Lots of yummy pizza and pasta as well as alternatives like my goats cheese and fig tart salad which was gorgeous...if a bit small!
  
  Quick service, not too expensive and good cocktails too. There's a really nice bustle and atmosphere, with couples, families and larger parties all mixing well. There's nice outdoor decking seating by the canal and it's a great place for a light meal before a night out in Manchester!
