Outsider Tart is a new culinary enterprise, which is devoted to all things sweet and yummy. From Red Velvet Cakes and Coconut Cream Pies to Lady Baltimore Cakes and Marriage Pies, business and life partners David Lesniak and David Muniz are spearheading a welcome revival of the humble home made cupcake – and putting tasty, wholesome cakes back on the teatime pedestal where they belong.

The Outsider Tart is a cake and tart company run by two guys called David, who moved over from the USA to start a new life in London. They are passionate about cooking delicious looking and tasting treats, and I am passionate about eating their wares!

They sell a range of giant cakes (by the slice and whole), scones, pies, tarts, biscuits, slices, brownies and cupcakes. I have a soft spot for their cupcakes - my favourite so far has been the Peanut Butter with Meringue icing - looked almost too good to eat.

I look forward to visiting their stall at Richmond Farmers Market each Saturday, and can't resist making a purchase or three - they always have something new that I just have to sample. On Sundays they have a stall at Chiswick Farmers Market (Dukes Meadow), and you can also purchase their creations at Mortimer and Bennett, on Turnham Green Terrace in Chiswick.
