Great range of gear, not just the usaual brands. The staff were attentive but not too pushy, the only problem was the heat, they don't have an air conditioner but they have shed loads of lights which not only light the place up but heat it like an oven

Altimus is the carlsberg of outdoor shops, it's probably the best outdoor shop in the country.
I found out about this gem from my physio, I have problems with my lower back and the guys at Altimus sorted it out. They have a podietrist who works their he made me some orthotics for my feet which has helped my back. Not what I was expecting from an outdoor shop.

bought some boot from this place today all i can say amazing wasted hours at cotswold in reading trying to sell me some salloman boots way to tight on my toes anyway the shop assistant told me to try altimus so went over and well i was blown away got served by chris he measured my feet and got some meindl boots that fitted. Will be back to use this place again.
