This chinese is ok, not terrible but definately not up to the standards of other chinese restaurants in Reading.

We ate from the all you can eat menu which didn't have that big a choice they had your norm such as crispy duck, sweet & sour, etc. The food was ok but considering we paid around £15 each for the buffet i would have rather got my regular chinese takeaway which is a lot better!

The staff were quite slow and it was hard to get their attention. The actual restaurant definately needs a little reburb and a bit of modernisation.

I would say go around the corner to Furama, you'l definately have a better meal!

I have been to this restaurants a couple of times with friends. The food is generally good, but you'll have to put up with the lack of customer service there. The waiters/waitresses are unhelpful and at many times, rude.

The cutlery is sometimes dirty and you have to check that the plates you are given is clean....to avoid getting food poisoning.

Was sometimes given the wrong food/order and getting the waitress to take it back takes ages.....

service level generally depends on the mood of the staff, and you sometimes get the impression that you are a nuisance to them. Adding/amending your order is a big no-no as you will get the 'killer' look from the staff there. takes ages for the bill to come as well...

i normall avoid this restaurant where possible.

I have been there with a huge group of my friends. I have found this restaurant is very nice. The waiters are friendly and sometimes they came to my table to talk with while I have to wait even for a short while.

The food is very nice and, in my opinion, it is very good quality as well. When I asked them for the recommended food, they told me a variety of recipes in the list and they are definitely nice.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is quite busy and a bit loud sometimes, but it doesn't matter because it's just the sound of laughing and nice chatting no arguing or shouting at all :).

I suggest you to go on weekdays because it's the same kind of food but a bit cheaper than on the weekends.

Delicious food and excellent service.
I have discovered the China Palace with a friend, and I am making it my favourite Chinese in Reading.
The staff is extremely friendly, and their dishes ae excellent !
We ate from their "all you can eat" menu (£15 on Saturday night, the portions were generous, and the taste delicious).
Great restaurant, recommended to anyone
