The first Wagamama noodle bar opened in 1992, near the British Museum in Central London, and was immediately a success. With several noodle bars in London and now nationwide, Wagamama offers a fast efficient service in a clean and modern environment.

Reviews for Wagamama

Great place for something quick and relatively light.
The restaurant is laid out canteen style, with new arrivals seated wherever there is space - you may end up sharing with someone else, but it is never cramped or awkward.

The food is tasty and arrives as it is cooked, though it is normally only a couple of minutes between each dish arriving. Service is quick but friendly.

I'd recommend the yaki udon and the plum wine. Lovely.

I had high expectations of this restaurant prior to visiting and came away slightly disappointed. I visited on a midweek lunchtime and found it somewhat lacking in atmosphere, with a slightly ‘sterile’ feel. The staff, whilst being efficient and professional, lacked a little something. The food, however, could not be faulted. I thoroughly enjoyed my three course meal and would definitely return to see if my overall opinion could be changed. The menu changes daily, so don’t bank on the menu which is on their website being available on the day that you visit. The menu is pricey but, in my opinion, worth it.

Wagamama delivers reasonably tasty food at very reasonable prices.

Arranged in long tables that seat 6-8 it's a good place for an informal meal with friends. The duck gyozi (dumplings) are especially good. Food arrives quickly and you can watch it being prepared as the kitchens open to the restaurant.

The Vue cinema nearby sometimes print 2for1 Wagamama deals on the back of tickets making it a popular place for dinner after a film. It pays to be one of the first to be out of the showing though, as otherwise you may find yourself at the back of a long queue. The staff are good even when the restaurant is packed.

I recently visied Wagamamas for the first time recently and it was brilliant!

The restaurant is very lively and modern, they seat you on seats which seat up to 4 or 6 so you can be sat with other people if its busy.

The service is fast and food is very quick, you can see the chefs perparing your food so you know its fresh.

I had a noodle dish which was lovely. we also had 2 for 1 voucher which was handy! they often run these offers and considering the meals arent expensive around £7-£10 its a bargain! I also got a side of duck pasty type parcels which were gorgeous!

If you want a quick meal before heading down to the cinema this is ideal! enjoy!

Have only been to this restaurant 2 times, both with American students whom i have met in Uni.

Supposed to be a Japanese restaurant chain, but the food is a far cry from authentic Japanese food. Sure, they serve Ramen and Udon, but these dishes taste nothing like the way they actually taste in Japan/authentic Japanese restaurants. Food is ok if you're looking for the westernised version of japanese/asian food.

restaurant can be very noisy during weekends and the smell of stir-fry can get a bit overwhelming at times. if you are looking for a place to go for dinner during a romantic date, count this out. But if you are just looking for a place to han out with your mates and have some food, this may be a good place, as they normally fo 2-4-1 offers as well. Handy if you are a student or if you are skint.

Overall cleanliness is ok. :)

I'm a huge fan of Wagamama generally, and the Reading branch doesn't disappoint at all. Rarely crowded as its set a little back from the main restaurants which means you never have to wait to get a table, service is speedy and typical of Wagamamas and the restaurant generally has a nice attitude - whereas in some of the London restaurants in particular they're very adult-oriented, in Reading you get a great mix of families, students/teenagers, couples, buisness people on lunch - such a diverse crowd makes for a lovely experience!

The food is typical to all Wagamama menus - if you're a fan of Japanese food, it definitely won't disappoint!

Great food, nice and fast. Very family friendly.

Wagamama serves noodles and other oriental dishes on long canteen tables. The food is fantastic, and the ambiance is fun.

My only complaint is why does it take longer to get my bill than to get my main course?
