nice english food
This is the last beefeater left in Reading. It has a restaurant one side and a bar area the other with an outdoor seating area.
The Beefeater is a grill style restaurant, they have breaded mushrooms, soup, pate, etc for starters, then steaks, burgers, chicken, ribs, etc for mains. they have some lovely desserts- its hard to pick just one!
a favourite of mine is the pate to start with the grilled chicken breast & half a rack of ribs in bbq sauce with salad & chips for my main course along with brownie sundae for dessert..lovely!!
It is definately a family place with a tradional feel and the waitresses are usually friendly and try to have some banter with you.
