Thai and Indian restaurant
Actually rebranded as the 'Sizzling Spice' this restaurant now does both Indian and Thai cuisine. The staff are always more than polite and helpful – they seem genuinely concerned that you should enjoy your meal.
The menu is divided into Thai and Indian but the great joy of it is that you can mix and match – an oinion bhaji starter followed by a noodle main course, for example. I slightly recommend the Thai side of the menu but both are good.
The chicken nutty noodles (from the Thai menu) are a great favourite and friends who have visited Thailand call them authentic.
It offers a discount for students (sensible as it is in the heart of the University area of Reading) and also a discount on takeaways that you collect yourself.
