    Express by Holiday Inn offer good quality, simple accommodation at reasonable room rates. One of the problems of travelling alone in UK, especially in the south-east around London, is to find a single room that is not either extortionately priced, or miniscule in size. This hotel in Reading is modern, comfortable and functional. The room rate includes a buffet continental breakfast. The staff were polite and professional and they were able to offer replacements if you had forgotten minor items like toothbrush or needle and thread. Located in a pleasant part of Reading this hotel is a taxi ride away from the station and within walking distance of the river or Caversham shopping centre.
