Reviews for Lyndhurst Ale House
Great place for having nice foods and drinks, sit back and relax with friends. There is a huge range of options in the menu, I have tried just a couple of things but the others is still really tempting me.
It is quite convenient to go there and easy to find this pub as well. It is just approximately 10 minutes not too far from the town center. There are many options of beer for us to choose and the quality is very fantastic.
It is great to go as a couple because the atmosphere is quite romantic actually. There is nothing about teenager shouting as the atmosphere in the town center. This is one of the nice thing.
In addition, the location is very close to the petrol station, so, do not worry if your car fuel is low.
Nice local pub, frequented by locals, not the students that blight so many of the town centre pubs
A good range of ales and cheap as chips house wine that doesn't half taste bad.
Nowhere for the smokers - good job i've given up!
A few minutes walk from both the town centre and the train station so a good stop off on a night out.
The Lyndy used to be a great pub, but no longer. Of course all pubs are a little worse these days for us smokers, but the Lyndy have introduced the most inane smoking policy i've ever seen.
The nice little terrace area would be absolutely fine for smokers, but they have festooned the whole terrace with no-smoking signs. So, we now have the only option of taking our drinks onto the street. On one such occasion I was leaning over the iron fence with a fag in my hand, blowing and drifting smoke all over the terrace. I was chatting to the landlady who didn't mind this at all, never mind noticing the irony!
Ten minutes walk from the town centre this is a pleasnat place for a pint and a bite. The menu is a bit up market from your basic pub grub, but not a far up market cost an arm and a leg.
The beer range varies and the quality is usually good - though don't be afraid to complaint if you find yours is too near the end of the barrel or has sat in the pipes for too long and lost the will to live.
Several televisions look down on you and once or twice the volume has been intrusive. So if it's a key football match and you hate football - come back another day.
Lovely local boozer with plenty of little booths to sit in. A few local ales are available (sorry, I'm not a beer drinker) and the house red for a tenner is actually quite nice. Music not too loud, staff friendly plus a few outside seats for the summer.
New food menu sounds good but I've never tried it - seems popular, though.
The Sunday night pub quiz is hotly contested plus there's the chance to win up to £1000 (if it's rolled over) in the One To Win competition.
Just a nice proper English pub.
