Swarbricks

I used to visit Swarbricks when I worked on Cannon Street in Preston. It is primarily a Sandwich shop but they also do salads, jacket potatoes, desert options and the like. The thing about Swarbricks is that they have put a lot of thought into their Sandwiches and offer some delightful combinations. There is an extensive menu to choose from and there are also daily specials. They also use a lot of seasonal produce so a lot of the soups etc will depend on what time of year that you visit. There are also several different types of bread to choose from. A friens and I made it our mission to try as many of the sandwiches that we could. There is a chiller cabinet filled with the likes of Salmon, Rocket, dill and mustard on a ciabiatta or you could choose the steak, cheese and onion hot ciabiatta - a particular favourite of mine! The staff were always polite and helpful and there are newspapers on hand together with a chair or two while you are waiting for hot produce to be freshly made. I enjoyed every sandwich that I bought from there. There was always a lot of it and I often found myself unable to finish the last couple of mouthfuls! The only downside is the price as it is a tad expensive. However, this is a small price to pay (pardon the pun) for such an exotic range to choose from.
