Reviews for TGI Friday's

My family of 5 went here on my daughter's 6th birthday last Bank Holiday Monday. This was her choice. There were special menus such as 2 courses for £9.99 but these weren't available that day as it was BH. The kids both had a child's menu selection, plenty to chose from, including more adult type dishes also which makes a change as alot of places offer kids either nuggets or sausage and chips! They try to encourage the 5 a day rule too by including vege sticks etc with the meals which is good. The drinks were refills for free which cuts costs! This was for child or adult soft drinks. My 10 month old had a free baby jar provided and heated which was an added bonus. They had highchairs but a modern style contraption that just sits & straps onto the chair so it wasn't very secure or safe in my opinion! Our adult meals were fine, all very American and abit greasy, but I am fussy with food! The children had a fun pack with colouring and stickers which is also a nice touch. I told the waitress it was a birthday so they put a candle in the pud & sang to my daughter, we came hone with a helium TGI balloon too. Always a winner with kids!

We chose this restaurant from a large selection at Tower Park, after looking at all the menu's & deciding that this was the best value.
There were seven of us dining.
We all chose the 'Two Courses for £9.95' offer. There was a good choice of starters, mains & deserts.
We were all pleased with our food. The portion sizes were good & two courses were plenty.
We had a good waiter who was very attentive & cleared our table quickly. He brought out our deserts & the bill quickly as he knew we were going to the cinema after our meal.
There was a discrepency with the bill though, so hopefully this was a genuine mistake, but its worth checking!
Overall we all agreed it was very good value & good food.

Tower park is a popular location in Poole, and Tgi Friday is right in front of the cinema making it perfect for a post-film meal.

I went to Tgi Friday on a friday evening, after going bowling. I knew that it would be busy, so I went in before bowling to book a table. I was told that was fine, but when returning later they had no record of this. Luckily there was still a table, but it was not a good start.

The service was good. Not brilliant, but I have nothing to moan about. The food was slightly higher priced than I preferred, so I went for a simple burger. It was very enjoyable, but again was nothing special. My dessert, however, was lovely. I had a 'dirt cake' and it was delicious.

Overall, this is a nice restaurant to go to, but there was no 'wow' factor that made me really want to go again.
