What a waste of a night. the waiters can't be bothered and had body odour problems, the toilets were filthy, the drier didn't work and no had towels. the food was very disappointing, the pizzas were tasteless and soggy the t-bone steak was over done and only came with chips or salad they had no tom sauce. never again

chatting to La Lupa's owners last week, it seems that since New Year, the 'Italian boss man' (actually only one of the original owners) mentioned in the earlier review has left (he's now at Da Vinci's incidentally ...) and Giacomo and Jeannette are working hard to give the restaurant a significant overhaul, which is already showing results - all the old 'tat' has been removed (the nets, actors' photos and chianti bottles have gone), the decor refreshed and simplified, menus are being updated, specials introduced, and the facilities improved. Much has already been done in a short time, and more is planned.

I used to always pick this Italian when we went to Poole Quay for a meal, its tucked right the way along the main Quay stretch and they also have other branches I believe. But of late it has gone down in my estimations, the decor is shabby and the tablecloths are holey. The staff were rushing us from start to finish and it seemed all they wanted was to clear tables for new customers, not the way you want to feel on a night out. The Italian boss man was bossing around the waiters in an unfriendly manner which wasn't nice to watch. The food was really disappointing and put me off returning there. It may have been a blip on that night but with so much competition and other lovely restaurants down the Quay I won't bother to try it again.
