We have been searching for a good honest, Indian for a while now. Having exausted our own area (Weymouth & Dorchester) we found Tatnam Tandoori on this site. Their own website was really nice too. Don't be put off by the residential setting. It was really good. The staff were just so friendly, chattting nicely to locals coming in for a take-away. Our food was very good and consistant throughout. The Nargis kabab and Lamb Tikka for starters were excellent. The main curries were very good too. Saag Aloo was particularly good. They even threw in a freebie veg curry. Will we go again? Yes, of course. Give it a try...I sure you won't be dissapointed

This is our local Indian restaurant and we use this and Imrans for take aways depending on whether my husband wants to collect and stop for a beer here or not! Its a lovely little restaurant,not long been redecorated. The staff and nice and courtious, the service is efficient and the food is fresh and tasty. There are plenty of places to park nearby. The name of the place doesn't make it sound very special but it really is worth a visit if you are passing this way. I am fussy and the place is clean. There are toilets inside which are pretty clean also. We never have to wait long to get the food cooked or delivered. They serve a selection of drinks from the bar, including the Indian beers which my husband loves.

The Tatnam Tandoori is just down the road from us and we tend to get a lot of takeaways from there. They are in my opinion and others who have tried it, the best Indian in town. The takeaways never take longer than 30 minutes to deliver; hot and always tend to have a freebie thrown in as well.

However if you were to go and eat in the restaurant which I have done a couple of times with groups it is very inviting, simply decorated and in a way so cosy it’s like being in someone’s lounge! The service is great and as always the food is perfect. The prices have gone up recently but still offer good value and generous portions.
