We went on a Sunday, which is probably the busiest day. Because you cannot book ahead, it is worth going about half and hour before to put your name on the list, then have a pre-meal drink. For the roast there were 3 meats on offer Gammon, Beef and Turkey, and there were 2 nice looking vegetarian options. There were huge yorkshire puds on offer,stuffing,roast and boiled potatoes, mashed sweed,carrots, brocolli (all were freshly prepared not frozen) and a choice of at least 3 different gravys. You were allowed to go up for seconds for everything except the meat. The food was delicious (I have often come home from other carveries thinking my roast is better! but this one did not disappoint), but this was really good value for money and tasty.

My wife & I went there today, 18th January & completely agree with 00natasha00 above comments. May we add the service was excellent, we went about 1.45pm, Sunday very busy but only waited about 20 minutes. The food was well cooked & lots of choice of veg, the chef was also working hard, being very helpful. All the staff very pleasant, hard working, dashing around trying to make places for the waiting guests & there when you wanted them, good value. My only gripe as an avid beer drinker, no real ale, please sort this out & you get 5 stars.
