The Cuckoo is one of my favourite places to pop for a drink and also have a decent meal at a reasonable price. The place was refurbished a few years ago so offers ample space and you can normally find a table. If you want to eat you need to find a table and then when you order tell them what area you are sitting in as it's colour coded rather than numbers. There's an excellent selection of wines, which always pleases me! There is a wide variety of food on the menu and also a specials board so something for everyone to choose. Food is normally served quickly and is a good standard. It's good value for money. You can also settle your bill with one of the waiters/waitresses rather than queue at the bar. Even though it has been refurbished they have retained the character of the place. In the Summer there's a lovely garden to sit and enjoy the sun, although we have not managed to sit out this year!
