The portions are indeed massive. Anybody in possession of a normal appetite should order nothing larger than small chips and battered cod. The likelihood is you'll still struggle with it. Which begs the question, why not reduce the size of the portions and save both us and them money? For it is rather pricey. Tasty though.

Posh fish is one of the best fish and chip shops I have ever come across. The portion sizes - particularly the chips - are truly huge. A medium chip portion will serve a family! The fish is also more than generous.

I have not eaten in often but the mountainous mixed grill looks like something out of a kids comic. Nor have I seen anyone conquer a whole meal. Decor is classic English Fish and Chip Shop - very bright and easy to wipe down. But at least it is usally wiped down and clean, and you aren't paying for Le Manoir.

Posh Fish is deservedly popular, and Friday and Saturay evenings regularly see people queuing out of the door. However service is pretty good, as they cram an improbable number of staff in behind the counter, and they all actually seem to know what they are doing. Generally don't wait longer than 15 mins even at peak times and often less.
