    Good breakfasts

I've been to Queen's twice now, each time to eat breakfast. On both occasions, I've eaten the scrambled egg with salmon fillet, but they also do the full English amongst lots of other choices, all of which are really reasonably priced, and are BIG portions- I couldn't finish! The coffee is also really good- nice and strong.

Because it's quite a way down High Street, I wouldn't venture down there for a coffee in between shopping, but if I had another reason to be down there, I would definitely pop in.

The service is prompt and efficient, and the atmosphere is relaxed and down-to-earth. A cut above the other cafes/ coffee houses around it down that end of High Street.

Cheap eats available if your timing's right

The usual coffee shop / cafe fare with the usual Oxford High Street prices. But one thing sets this place apart - the fact that they sell off that day's fresh sandwiches, ciabattas, baguettes, etc at value prices towards the end of their day.

So if you're waiting for s bus at the Queen's Lane bus stop, you can pop in, pick up some cheap nosh, and then go on your merry way to Cowley / Iffley / Headington etc munching on a tasty fresh sandwich that didn't cost you the earth but is plenty to fuel your evening, whatever you're up to next.

We stopped by after church on Easter Sunday, and were charmed by the good coffee, excellent sweets and sandwiches, and quaint atmosphere.

Prices were quite inexpensive and staff was very efficient. They have plenty of seating but it seems to fill up fast.
