Reviews for Ben's Cookies

Well, what can i say that's not already been said about Ben's Cookies ? In an excellent location, they sell the best cookies i've ever tasted. They offer many different toppings and flavours, choc chip, rum and raisen and marshmellow to name three.

It is very popular with students who want a quick snack when on the go.The shop itself is clean and well run,the staff are friendly and welcoming,it really feels like a family run business.

I've only been here once when visiting oxford and if i visited again, i would go back to Ben's Cookies no doubt. The prices are a little expensive BUT you get really good tasting cookies, well made and excellent customer service.

Drinks are available here but again like the cookies, they do charge a little much for them, but who cares ? Im happy to pay a little more to eat excellent cookies and wash it down with an ice cold coke.

Love it !

Ben’s cookies can be found in Oxford’s Covered Market (you may need to walk round this maze a few times before you find it!) and sells the best cookies in Oxford. They bake all of the cookies fresh on the premises from a top secret recipe and produce a variety of flavours. The cookies themselves are sometimes more like cakes, really thick and warm and gooey inside. They are quite pricy at around £1 per cookie (depending on the weight) but due to the rich taste, you probably couldn’t eat much more that one at a time anyway. This Oxford gem is well worth a visit.

Excellent cookies, baked fresh at the store, great big cookies of all types (as many different chocolate variations as you can shake a stick at.) Ben's cookies is not an eat-in area, so you do have to find somewhere else to go eat them, but they are excellent cookies- far better than Millie's Cookies in my opinion. The only downside is the price, the cookies are priced by weight and a single cookie is quite expensive- yet if you have a cookie craving they're pretty darn worth it! They also serve drinks at equally high prices. Come for the cookies, get the the drinks somewhere else.

The place is very small and can get awfully busy but that's only because the cookies are so nice especially when they come out of the oven soft! They offer different types including peanut ones which are my favourite. They charge by weight and they seriously are making a mint, a cookie can cost a few quid!! If they are not warm though they can be disappointing. You can easily make them at home, I swear they follow Ainsley’s recipe. Look on the internet and you can produce exactly the same ones as Ben’s Cookies. The queues can get very long near lunch time and tea time so go in between and you’ll have to wait no long for the goodies!

The best place to go for cookies in Oxford, or anywhere as far as I know! There are trays of hot, freshly baked cookies lining the small counter and an enticing smell wafting out of the cramped space behind. The cookies themselves are invariably squidgy and sticky cakes embedded with chocolate. A real indulgence and very nice with the cold organic milk they also serve in little cups. None of it cheap but they are uniquely good.

Located in Oxford's Covered Market amid the hanging meats, fresh cheeses oozing off of the stalls and somewhere between a stall with leather handbags and one selling tea pots (?) is Ben's Cookies.

Unlike it's London counter-parts this one is my particular favourite. You are tucked away from the outside Oxford pavement, and yet there's real people watching opportunity from the select few seats just inside the market doors. There is something very satisfying watching the hustle and bustle of locals and tourists as they scurry around the market.

But what about the cookies? My personal favourite used to teh the triple chocolate chip, but then if you're not wanting an early hear attack (what a way to go!) the raison and oatmeal is equally as sqiggy , sticky and seductive. Get them while they're hot and fresh! This is why my preference is Ben's cookies Oxford not London, the staff here are more than happy to magic up some fresh cookie delighs while you wait and ply you with rich hot chocolate. Unlike the 'take the cookie' don't mind me attitude of the London crowd it is the done thing to 'hang out' and drift away on sugary, warm delightness...
