There's a bit of a dearth of really good options in Orpo, the town I spent my adolescence (or so I thought), but I'd heard good things about Xian - it's apparently THE place to spot Gary Rhodes eating out, dontcha know.

In all seriousness, I was pleasantly surprised - the staff were really lovely, the atmosphere buzzing and the food lovingly created. It's pricier than you'd expect for this part of zone 6, but their use of quality ingredients makes it worth it. We spent a good 2 hours here and weren't rushed at all. A good option to spend an evening in Orpington...you might even forget you where you were (no terrible thing in my book)!

This restaurant has great food but is pricey in comparison to other local good Chinese restaurants. This restaurant has a very varied menu and the service is exceptional. Good for special occasions and events but just slightly to expensive for a typical night out.
