I love this place. It differs a lot from its main competitor (Starbucks) and in a very positive way.

I find the layout a lot more pleasing. They have a larger variety of comfy seats. Some you can slouch in, or more upright armchairs. A really nice relaxing atmosphere.

They also serve a better cup of coffee. Not bitter at all and not quite as strong. Their hot chocolate is also very smooth.

The food, which consists of cookies, muffins and snacks also seems a lot fresher. The muffins (which I am partial too) seem a lot more moist and just have that real choccy taste that I love.

To top things off the staff are happy and pleasant. Plus the pricing is a little better on the pocket. So it certainly gets my vote.

Quiet, new coffee outlet 2nd September 2008

The coffee shop chain has finally hit Petts Wood! It is pretty quiet here most of the week, and you can always find a table. In fact if you are lucky enough to get some sunshine you can sit outside - a rarity in Petts Wood. The baristas are polite and helpful, always offering to bring your coffee to you. I only drink the espresso frescato so can't comment on the quality of their coffee making, but my frescato is always perfect. Children love the babycinnos, frothy milk with two marshmallows on the side. It's a great place to meet friends and relax.
