Reviews for Siam Thani
Great place very nice staff, delicious food, clean, good location reasonable prices, accommodating in dietary requirements.Go and support independant businesses.
Been here a few times and the food is fragrant tasty and lovely with plenty meat and vegetable dishes. Freindly and welcoming atmosphere.
A few of my friends recommomended this fine little place to me, but they haven't the most reliable of food choices so I took their opinion with a pinch of salt. I and a friend turned up and looked at the place thinking it doesn't look particlarly great, but as always appearances can be deceptive. The staff were lovely, and very welcoming, something you don't get from the mainstream, corporate places. They sit you down and they helped us with the menu. The deal for £26 was great, highly recommended if there's two of you. The itself was incredible, and I thought i'd had some nice Thai before but this place was something else. You should try.
Siam Thani is by far the best Thai restaurant in Nottingham. The food is outstanding - my favourite is the Sweet and Sour Tofu mix, but there are hundreds of dishes to choose from and a wide variety of vegetarian options, which makes a nice change. The staff are always extremely helpful and friendly, and came to check everything was ok with our meal at several points. The atmosphere is always really fresh, and I love the modern and stylish setting. It is close by to a number of bars so it is in a fantastic location if you were wanting to go somewhere afterwards.
Ended up here as the other thai I was going to try had a one hour waiting list. So I wasn't too sure what I was going to get, but being determined to have thai food that night, I wasn't going to let that stop me.
This place turned out to be a wonderful surprise. From the outside it may look a bit dated, but it was clear that the diners were enjoying their experience. The service was fantastic, their attention to detail astounding. I never felt rushed, it was nice to actually sit down and have a three course meal that could be enjoyed.
They were doing an offer (starter platter, 3 mains and fragrant rice/egg fried rice for £26 for two people) which we went for. We sampled a green curry, chicken in tamarind sauce with cashew nuts and a sweet & sour pork dish. All lovely, and to finish off, the nicest banana fritters and coconut ice cream I've had in the longest time.
All in all, great place, would definitely recommend to anyone.
