This fairly new restaurant is on the site of what was Harry Ramsden’s. This place is a vast improvement, offering a great varied menu at reasonable prices. My personal favourite on the menu is the mix and match on grills, so you can have say steak and scampi, steak and chicken, gammon and lamb – a great concept in my opinion. A carvery menu is also available throughout the week and offers excellent value for money. My main gripe is that the dessert cabinet is right next to the food order point and it’s impossible to resist. A combination of pub and family restaurant, both are done well and there’s a nice atmosphere to the place with prompt service to boot.
