They turned the old Post office into a pub for this one hence the name! it isn't one of the biggest branches of the Wetherspoons chain, but it has the usual mix of cheap drinks, real ales and good food, including the famous curry nights on a Thursday, which is a fabulous bargain - I can recommend the lamb rogon josh. They do a great variety of beers and the place is nearly always busy. What I love about it is that if you buy a soft drink, you don’t get a small glass which feels like a rip off, you get a long tall glass full to the top, AND it isn’t at all expensive.
