Hi everyone, i went to the admiral rodney yesterday with my family, we all had the sunday roast which was beef and all had duo of choc after, the meal was great and hot and very tasty it was not a boil in the bag meat which was mentioned in the other review, it was a real cooked joint of beef, i did ask a member of staff to see if i could have a look in there kitchen and i was shown around and the kitchen staff were great, plus we were given vouchers for next week buy one get one free which i thought was great too, I would go there again and will be telling my friends to go there to, Thankyou admiral rodney for a great sunday dinner plus your staff are great

Good real ales well served. Very local to Wollaton Park. Food Ok but not great. A good pub for meetings, especially the old back room. Has some historic connections.

5 of us went to The Admiral Rodney on Sunday for Sunday lunch. It was terrible. Two of us had the Roast of the Day, expecting a tasty succulent piping hot 'home meal'. It was revolting, so much so that for the first time in my life I asked to look at the roast it had come off. It has been cooked the day before and sliced, then put in a plastic bag and reheated.

Then I was in the kitchen, I was threatened and told to leave after they had heard my opinion and was told that I was a f...ing commoner'.

I won't be returning and would urge others to avoid the place altogether.

I went there yesterday and it was a great meal and the staff were great too ten out of ten to all at the admiral rodney

good pub, 6 different real ales on at the moment (Feb 07) good food, big beer garden/courtyard
