Elm Hill Cafe
Elm Hill, Norwich, NR3 1HG
Reviews for Elm Hill Cafe
The delightful Elm Hill Cafe is tucked off its cobbled hill in a small and quiet courtyard. If you're in the city on a Saturday and don't want to sit elbow to elbow in one of the busier chains then get a few minutes off the beaten track for a leisurely lunch. You'll get a friendly welcome from the staff and can settle down at a table either inside (nice and cosy), outside in the courtyard (opposite a good antiques shop) or in the small but pretty garden.
Go for their delicious sandwiches - there's a long list of fillings and you can choose as many as you like to make your ideal sandwich (I raised a few eyebrows with my choice of peanut butter, banana and coleslaw...). The smoothies are delicious, and the tea and coffee are decent too. Veggie chilli got the thumbs up as well.
Don't expect service to be super quick, but to their credit you will be told if they are busy. A sandwich and drink will set you back about a fiver. Worth every penny.
